It works in the same way as the standard magic mirror, with the hidden photograph appearing when the light is on. The larger size gives the portrait more impact, and the listing notes that it is made in India. The photographs show it on its stand and in its retail box.
The photo stays hidden until the light comes on, which gives the gift a moment of surprise that an ordinary frame cannot offer.
Print the photo on photo paper and fit it behind the mirror. A clear picture with the face near the centre works best, because the image appears only when the light is switched on.
